You may be able to request that your ticket be dismissed by complying with the terms and conditions of deferred disposition. However, you will lose that right if you do not provide a written notice to the court within 20 business days from the date of the offense. Commercial driver’s license does not qualify.
Eligibility requirements for Deferred Disposition are as follows:
You must provide the court with the notarized affidavit (Deferred Request form provided below) within the 20 business days from the date of the offense. Upon court approval for Deferred Disposition, you will be placed on deferred for a period not to exceed six months in order to comply with the terms and conditions of the court.
Upon completion of the terms and conditions of the deferred, your ticket will automatically be submitted to the judge for dismissal resulting in no conviction. Failure to comply with the terms of deferred may result in being responsible for payment of fine thereby having the offense reported to your driving record and a warrant may be issued for your arrest.
