The Sanger Development Corporation (4B) consists of 7 members, who serve a two-year term.

A Director must be a resident of the City of Sanger, a resident of the County in which the major part of the area of the City is located, or reside in a place that is within 10 miles of the City’s boundaries and is in a County bordering the County in which a major portion of the City is located.

Board Overview

The 4B Economic Development Board consist of seven members who are appointed by the City Council. A member must be a resident of the City of Sanger, a resident of the County in which the major part of the area of the City is located or reside in a place that is within 10 miles of the City’s boundaries and is in the County boarding the County in which a major portion of the City is located. Members serve two year terms. The members of the Board are:

Board Overview

The Sanger Texas Development Corporation (STDC) undertakes projects that improve the quality of life within the City. 4B funds can be used for projects that are considered community development initiatives such as the purchase of land, buildings, equipment, and expenditures to improve facilities, parks, and entertainment venues. The STDC receives its funding through a ½ cents sales tax.  

Some of the projects the STDC has funded include Downtown Park improvements, Quail Run Park improvements, construction of a Slash Pad, Railroad Park improvements, and the construction of Porter Sports Park.
