Zoning

The Zoning Ordinance and Official Zoning Map establish the permitted uses and development standards for all land within the City Limits. The Zoning Ordinance is Chapter 14 of the Code of Ordinances.

Submittals

Submittals are accepted on the Wednesday 26 days prior to the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. The submittal deadlines are intended to provide enough time for staff to review the item and provide any public notice of required public hearings. This allows the item to be acted upon within the 30 day time limit imposed by state law.

Deadlines and meeting dates are subject to change. Please consult with City Staff to confirm the schedule of upcoming meetings and deadlines before making any submittal.

Subdivision

The Subdivision Ordinance establishes the process for platting and subdividing land within the city limits and extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Sanger.  The Subdivision Ordinance is Chapter 10 of the Code of Ordinances.  For information about platting or subdividing land within Sanger’s city limits or extraterritorial jurisdiction, contact the Department of Development Services

Long Range Planning

The Comprehensive Land Use Plan adopted in November 2021 directs the future growth of Sanger.  The Future Land Use Map is part of the Comprehensive Plan.
